In the past, skills remained relevant for decades. However, with the introduction of technology, skills started expiring within an average of 8 years. Today, with the advent of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media, the average lifespan of skills is expected to be shorter than 4 years.
Students enrolled in the Social Outreach Program (SOP) participate in an honors program where they acquire applied skills and engage in real-world projects, gaining invaluable work experience and staying abreast of current knowledge.
The honors program of the USA is on par with American universities, which is not solely based on the duration of the degree program offered by all HEC-recognized universities. This necessitates students to be astute and possess above-average intellect, maintaining a CGPA of 3.8.
The scholarships offered under the USA Social Outreach Program are available to students in Pakistan without any discrimination. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, transportation, and lunch for students in Lahore, while also providing hostel facilities and three square meals a day for students from outside Lahore.
Students with 60% or more marks in Matric and Inter Part I are eligible to apply. Selection criteria are based on the following components:
Matric or equivalent: 15%
Inter Part I or equivalent: 15%
Online Admission Test: 10%
On-Campus Admission Test: 40%
Personal Interview: 20%
The application deadline is March 31, 2024, at midnight (11:59 PM).
Students are actively involved in creative and productive activities throughout their academic journey. Starting from the second year, students are rewarded with a stipend earned from their assignments. In the third semester, the stipend amount is Rs. 40,000 per month, and this amount increases by 10% with each subsequent semester.
Upon graduation, all students receive job offers from the university with a competitive pay package of Rs. 240,000 per month. This initiative not only encourages academic excellence but also supports students in their transition to the professional world.
The top 10 students of the Social Outreach Program (SOP) will receive full scholarships from the University of South Asia to pursue their master’s degrees at some of the world’s finest 8 Ivy League Universities, including Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Columbia, Brown, Princeton, Dartmouth & U-Pen.
